Quote of the Day

"A friend is someone who knows all about you and still loves you."

--Elbert Hubbard

Today's Assignment

Yesterday, you should have typed your introductory paragraph about your personal story related to your topic.  Remember, the final sentence of the introductory paragraph should be your thesis statement---your three research questions summed up into one sentence.

Today, we will be discussing parenthetical citations and how they are used in a research paper.

You will then choose one of your research questions and develop a body paragraph of your research paper.  Use your research question as the topic sentence of the paragraph to get you started. The body paragraph should be a minimum of 7 sentences and include 2-3 parenthetical citations!  You should have at least one sentence of commentary (your comments about the fact) before introducing a new fact from the source.

Use transitions (In addition, Furthermore, Also, etc.) to move the reader from one fact to another in the body paragraph?
